MpicoSys in the EU FP7 project – ROPAS

Intelligent packaging indicating the status of the products, envelope informing about its current location – it sounds fantastic. The idea, however, can become reality in the next few years.

MpicoSys company, partner of PSTP, participates in the EU-funded FP7 research project called ROPAS. Its name – “Roll-to-roll Paper Sensors” – focuses on the key technological challenge: integration, electronic components – such as flat printed batteries, wireless communication devices and sensors into paper. MpicoSys in the consortium of European companies and R&D institutes is responsible for system architecture. Its budget of the project exceeds three million euros and is funded by the European Commission. The project will run for four years.
