The lecture entitled The Technical Challenges of Display Cards and Display Labels will start on Wednesday, June 20th at 12:00 P.M in Track 2 room 14b. The speech will focus on the card and label markets and their requirements. The challenges for realizing such products will be discussed, and a personal view on opportunities for organic and printed electronics will be presented.
Peter J. Slikkerveer worked from 1987 to 2004 at Philips Research Labs Eindhoven in the area of Materials and Processing Research. The projects he has been heading include studies towards the usage of printing technologies in the electronics manufacturing and the manufacturing of flexible displays. From 2004 he is leading in the research and development of miniature systems for smartcard and label applications, first at Philips, then at NXP Semiconductors and lately at MpicoSys, which company is dedicated to these markets.
