At MpicoSys, we redefine efficiency, and when it comes to harnessing solar power, we are leading the charge. While many opt for fixed solar systems optimized for peak performance only in the summer, we at MpicoSys have a different approach. We understand the importance of maximizing solar energy utilization throughout the year, especially in winter months.
Using solar energy 365 days per year
We have adopted a unique approach to solar energy. While others opt for large panels, we've engineered a system that enables the use of smaller solar panels, ensuring they can still withstand the challenges of winter.

Why solar power?
Why solar, you might ask? The reasons are compelling:
- Solar energy is everywhere, with the sun shining almost every day evenfor a few hours.
- Solar is for free, comes at no cost once the initial investment is made.
- Solar power generation produces little to no waste, minimizing environmental impact.
- Contrary to common misconceptions, solar energy is available even during winter months.
Efficiency meets innovation
At MpicoSys, we've adopted a unique approach to solar energy. While others opt for large panels, we've engineered a system that not only enables the use of smaller solar panels (A4 or even smaller!), but due to our own solar charge controller ensuring they can still withstand the challenges of winter.
Like our solar-powered passenger information systems, delivering real-time updates every minute. These systems utilize solar cells with a peak output of 15 watts and a compact 26 Ah battery. Efficiency meets innovation in every aspect of our design.
Furthermore, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond solar panels. We utilize SLA batteries that can be charged in below zero temperatues, but are also fully recyclable, minimizing our environmental footprint.
Sustainable Transportation
The combination of solar power and SLA batteries has fueled the transformation of public transportation and passengers now experience the benefits of real-time information powered by the sun, contributing to a cleaner and greener urban environment.
One of our solar-powered projects involved creating a real-time ePaper passenger information system for MultiQ’s customer Movia, in Copenhagen, Denmark. We developed this low-power system back in 2014, and it's still in active use. You can find more details about this project here.
